Instrumentation and Process Control Room

The instrumentation and control room provides the facility for process engineers to better understand process instrumentation and the fundamentals of process controls. In this area at a basic level engineering students learn how to read instrumentation related to temperature, pressure, and level and flow measurement. While at more advanced level topics such as measurement systems analysis can be explored using experimental techniques. Instrument calibration and service and repair methods are also taught. Simulation software is used in the ICT suite for process control and monitoring work.
